JOB DETAILS:
Duties And Responsibilities:
• Support development and management, in collaboration with the Senior Librarian – Acquisitions and planning the instructions and training schedules for both online and in-person users.
• Market and promote the library and its services by developing Library users’ guides, marketing tools and instructional materials.
• Collaborate with relevant university offices and staff to embed and promote Library resources.
• Assist in selective dissemination of information to relevant information users and information services requests.
• Responsible for inter-campus libraries information resources sharing and document delivery services.
• Assist lecturers who are teaching information literacy units in library instruction and practical application of information literacy concepts.
• Assist in the creation and management of academic programs reading lists.
• Offer support in the development and management of print and digital collections as needed.
• Be the lead librarian in new students’ library orientation and library registration processes.
• Offer support in carrying out library users’ surveys and information needs assessments.
• Champion the interests of the library users and ascertain that issues that are raised by users are adequately addressed.

Qualifications And Experience
• Degree in library and information Science from a reputable University
• Certification in computer skills
• A minimum of 3 Years’ relevant experience in a University Library

Other Skills And Competencies
• Knowledge in Library Management, automation, and E-Library services.
• Information Literacy competence.
• Knowledge in library reference and users’ support services
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
