Head, Cash Management Sales, Implementation & Support

Job Purpose Statement

The Head, Cash Management Sales is a strategic and critical role charged with formulating actions around sales that drives non funded income (NFI) for the entire bank as well as uptakeand utilisation of Cash Management products and services to all bank customers. This role has oversight over a Sales team supporting Corporate, Retail and Treasury business units and alsohas oversight over both Implementation and Channel support units. The role is also a critical advisor to other Cash Management units within Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda subsidiaries.

  • Strategic formulation and execution of Cash Management product and services sales programmes for the entire bank and the region.
  • Grow NFI transactional revenues while providing effective client support and relationship development relating to Cash Management products and services.
  • Support innovation of Cash Management products and services to take care of both current and future needs of the banks’ customers.
  • Lead the Cash Management Sales team to ensure team objectives are achieved successfully.
  • Ensure critical Implementation and training support is provided to new and existing bank customers on cash management product and services.
  • Ensure channel support with regard to queries and system updates is provided to new and existing bank customers on cash management product and services

Job Specifications

Academic:

  • University degree and any other relevant Professional qualifications.

Professional:

  • ACIB/AKIB Banking qualifications will be an added advantage
  • A professional qualification in IT or project management field is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Ms Office Suite – Ms Word, Power Point, Ms Excel

Desired work experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ sales experience
  • 5 - 10 years banking operations experience
  • Critical –operational knowledge of cash management products and structures

Integrations and Middleware Support Specialist

Job Purpose Statement

This is an ICT specialist role whose purpose is to provide effective and efficient support, development and system administration to the bank’s integration and middleware landscapeincluding Channel Manager, ICON and their suite of products and other integration and middleware services deployed within the bank.

Ideal Job Specifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or relevant IT degree from a University with a reputable curriculum.
  • Training and applied knowledge in Digital Channels Support, Unix and Oracle
  • Training and hands on experience with Systems Integrations, Middleware, Banking E- Channels and Card systems
  • Three year’s practical proven experience in installing, setup, support and troubleshooting of 3 tiered application architecture, including web technology support e.g. Jboss, WebLogic and IIS.
  • Proven experience in supporting banking channels (mobile, internet, ATMs etc)
  • Proven experience in systems analysis, design, implementation and support.
  • Proven experience in SQL Scripting
  • Proven knowledge of banking operations, operations in business units and business impact analysis.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Bank’s core banking system.
  • Proven knowledge of banking operations, operations in business units and business impact analysis
  • A good understanding of Operating systems; particularly Linux, UNIX and Microsoft Operating systems.

Manager, Trade Finance

Job Purpose Statement

The Manager will provide support to the Senior Manager, Trade Finance Sales for trade finance products to Corporate Banking Customers, management of revenue and trade asset budgets. Will develop and implement the unit’s strategies to increase trade finance income and business volumes through sales and marketing of Trade Finance Products.

Job Specifications

Academic:

  • A Bachelors’ degree in Business Management with a bias in Commerce, Accounting, Economics or Finance

Professional:

  • Professional Banking Qualification (ACIB) not necessary but can be an added advantage

Desired work experience:

  • At least 3 years work experience in Banking

Job Purpose Statement

To achieve business growth in Retail banking through review, development, testing and performance of scoring models contributing to the development of the Retail Credit Analysis strategy, translating the strategy into performance that will deliver revenue, profitability and share of market objectives. The role will focus on

  • Development, review and refining of score cards with an aim to achieve risk based pricing for Consumer Banking Customers
  • Testing of score cards and data analysis to review performance
  • Integration of scorecards into the existing bank systems
  • Collecting and evaluating information to determine the potential risks of certain events and their financial impact on businesses or individuals within Consumer Banking.
  • Using computer programs to compile and analyze data and create models, graphs, tables, and reports that display findings.
  • Ensure the Bank’s E-Credit systems are in use and are running well
  • Preparing reports

Ideal Job Specifications

Academic:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Economics, or any other related quantitative field.

Professional:

  • Big Data or Data Science certification from recognized institutions
  • Credit Management Or Analysis qualification
  • ACCA/CPA

Desired work experience:

  • At least 3 years of working experience working with business analysis/informatics and business outcomes research within a fast-paced and complex business setting,
  • Experience working with scoring models.
