Head Teacher

Leadership and Vision:

  • Provide strong instructional leadership to ensure the effective implementation of the CBC curriculum across all grades.

    • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among teaching staff to foster teamwork and innovation in instructional practices.
    • Manage and utilize resources effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
    • Integrate co-curricular activities to support the holistic development of students.
    • Use assessment data to inform instructional practices and recommend curriculum adjustments.

Onboarding and Enrollment:

  • Oversee the onboarding of new learners, ensuring a smooth transition into the school.
  • Actively participate in efforts to attract and enroll new students by fostering positive relationships with parents and the community.
  • Collaborate with the school manager to ensure a seamless enrollment process and retention strategies.

Team Management:

  • Mentor and support teaching staff to ensure a high-performing academic team.
  • Conduct staff performance appraisals and provide feedback for professional development.
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment for all staff members.
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and shared responsibility among staff.
  • Serve on recruitment panels for academic department hires to ensure alignment with the school’s academic goals.

Student Welfare:

  • Ensure the safety, welfare, and well-being of all students, fostering an inclusive and supportive school culture.
  • Address and resolve student disciplinary issues in a fair, consistent, and constructive manner.
  • Implement programs that promote student engagement, well-being, and holistic development.

Community and Stakeholder Relations:

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding school policies, academic progress, and events.
  • Represent the school at Ministry of Education meetings, community events, and academic forums.
  • Actively involve parents in the learning process and school activities to strengthen home-school collaboration.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure the school adheres to all regulatory requirements set by the Ministry of Education and other relevant authorities.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to the Ministry and school management.
  • Stay updated on changes in education policies, ensuring prompt implementation of necessary adjustments

Requirements

Technical and Functional Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of CBC curriculum and Ministry of Education guidelines.
