JOB DETAILS:
Global Category Associate Vice President - MRO Lead

PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE
Working in collaboration with our in-market MRO leads to refine and update the Global MRO strategy. Key focus areas will be Engineering stores, consumables, OEM services & parts and professional services.
• Leading annual strategy refresh/review process with in-market teams.
• Managing the execution of all global MRO sourcing events.
• Working in close collaboration with the technical team to assure strategic alignment.
• Identify and appropriately manage all opportunities and risk across category.

REQUIREMENTS (CAPABILITIES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)
• Graduate or equivalent qualification and member of professional body, e.g., CIPS
• 12 plus years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated performance in projects with cross-functional teams, experience in executing projects aligned to category and procurement strategies, managing and negotiating with suppliers
• Strong analytical and financial awareness including a strong understanding of financial goals & value drivers
• Track record of generating insights to influence decision-making; good commercial acumen
• Need to be technically literate with proven record of using systems successfully
• Strong verbal, written and presentation; strong interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of consistent performance and delivery

Category-specific requirements
• Ability to carry out complex tenders driving value in both initial costs and life cycle costs.
• Ability to execute Pan-regional and global sourcing exercises with multiple business stakeholders analyse, recommend and secure business alignment.
• Ability to work with regional teams in the execution of sourcing recommendation and ongoing supplier performance management.
• Preference for; strong track record across CapEx and or MRO category management, sourcing and relationship management

ACCOUNTABILITIES
General
• Applied expertise. Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery hitting all key KPI’s.
• Category excellence. Manage risks, create, and deliver value.

Category strategy
• Business partnering. In close alignment with project team, develop and grow relationships with stakeholders, partners, and suppliers for deeper insights into needs and capabilities; articulate requirements and deliver insights for greater value from stakeholder collaboration.
• Best in class capabilities. Generate insights and opportunities from internal and external benchmarking, develop cost models to consider scenarios with suppliers and stakeholders and build & evolve analytics capabilities that allow regular review and improvement of strategies.

Sourcing
• Contracting. For relevant sourcing projects, support effective planning, preparation and application of the Negotiation Toolkit. Lead or where appropriate work with other members of the procurement team on negotiating and closing contracts. Execute contracts into the system. Manage contracts and contract compliance (Business stakeholder compliance and Supplier compliance) through contract lifecycles.

Risk management
• Mitigate sourcing risks. Identify corporate, supply, supplier and other risks associated with sourcing activities and put mitigations in place, engaging all relevant stakeholders, partners, and suppliers to ensure the mitigations are successful.
• Apply and improve tools & techniques. Apply Procurement best practice standard, ensuring the most recent and relevant approaches are always applied; use formal governance and peer review to ensure the quality and efficacy of risk management; contribute to development of standards.

Supplier relationship management
• Supplier relationship. Establish standards, ways of working and trust relationships with global suppliers in relevant categories; ensure best practices are applied and that there is a good foundation for robust performance, risk mitigation and rapid resolution of issues.
• Supplier performance. Manage supplier performance through project life including improvement activities.
• Supplier development. In line with Procurement strategic supplier strategies, collaborate with suppliers to unlock breakthrough opportunities for the business; stimulate supplier capabilities to generate ideas for the future.

EXCELLENCE IN SUPPLY CHAIN ‘SOURCE’
• Experience working within KPI-led performance management structures and rigorous tiered reporting and performance review structures.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in working with extended and remote team members and stakeholders.
