JOB DETAILS:

What you would be expected to do
• General Ledger Monitoring and posting – Ensure ledger Postings and Control
• Accounts Payable
• Ensuring that Supplier balances are correct and well explained
• Ensuring that all expense postings are accurate and consistent
• Ensure payments are made accurately and within agreed upon credit terms
• Accounts Receivable
• Ensuring that Customer receipts are posted and allocated respective invoices
• Following up with respective account managers on overdue accounts
• Ensure customer balances are accurate and up to date
• Bank/GL Reconciliations ensure that all banks have been reconciled on weekly and/or Monthly basis
• Tax Compliance - ensure that tax ledgers (VAT, WHTax, Social Security, Sales tax, and all other applicable taxes) correspond with KRA online e-Tax and provide reconciliation to identify any variances
• Assist in Intercompany Reconciliations with respective related parties
• Compliance – Ensure vendor invoices adhere to tax regulations i.e., VAT and withholding taxes
• Month financial Close - Depreciation, Forex, Purchase GIT, Salary and Bonus entries Bookings, Provisions, Prepayments, Deferred revenue, EB reconciliations with MIS, MIS recons, Expense verification
• Any other duties as assigned by the line manager

You might be a strong candidate if you
• Hold Degree in Finance, Accounting, or any other related field. Professional qualification (ACCA or CPA) is a Must
• Have at least 3 years in Accounts Payable and Receivables or general accounting experience
• Can clearly and straight to the point communicate with fluency in both written and spoken English
• Have excellent analytical skills, able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
• You are honest, trustworthy and possesses a high degree of personal integrity and professionalism
• Have strong computer skills – MS Excel skill is mandatory.
• Can demonstrate sound judgment, excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication, presentation, and reporting skills
