JOB DETAILS:
Field Coordinator for Impact Evaluation - Intake and Baseline

SCOPE OF WORK
The task is expected to take full time engagement between October 2022 and June 2023. The consultant will support the implementation of the field work related to the baseline along with support to impact evaluation design (as needed), by working in the following areas:
• Supporting the research team in finalizing the design of the intake and baseline surveys as well as randomization procedures, and preparing the implementation of the data collection.
• Serving as the contact point between the data collection firm and the wider research team, supporting with questions and day-to-day troubleshooting, ensuring the research design is adhered to, and keeping the research team informed on any changes or threats to the research design.
• Tracking, reviewing, and revising of all deliverables of the data collection firm, including advertising materials for the program, protocols for survey implementation, tracking of households across the survey waves, security and COVID-19 precautions, training materials, coded and translated survey tools as well as datasets.
• Supporting with questionnaire coding in SurveyCTO and ensuring full functionality of the CAPI tool through pre-testing.
• Preparing and implementing a quality check manual, including the review of the data collection firm’s daily dashboard and running high frequency checks on raw data in Stata for intake, baseline and follow up surveys.
• Attendance of enumerator training and focus group discussions implemented by the firm as well as field visits during data collection.
• Supporting with data cleaning and descriptive analysis in Stata.

DELIVERABLES/SPECIFIC OUTPUTS EXPECTED FROM CONSULTANT
The consultant is expected to deliver at the end of the assignment the following outputs:
• Weekly written updates on the progress of field preparations and data collection, including any issues raised by the survey firm and concerns identified by the consultant
• Reviewed and revised survey protocols and training materials
• Written comments on the quality of coded and translated survey tools as well as daily datasets
• Quality checks manual and code for automated quality checks
• Survey tool for first follow up survey wave
• Written reports on the enumerator training, focus group discussions, and field visits
