Job Description
i. Overall in charge of the Trade Licensing Department. ii. Prepares the work plans and budget for the Department. iii. Acts as Public Relation Officer in all matters affecting the Department including personal matters. iv. Maintains, controls all confidential and general correspondences. v. Responsible for staff appraisal in regard to training, promotion etc. vi. Attends Departmental meetings and any other county main meeting vii. Issues and controls Single Business Permits to businesses within the Nairobi City County. viii. Collects any revenue pertaining to Single Business Permit and plans on how to collect any amount due from defaulters. ix. Preparation & submission or Revenue reports for the Department on monthly, quarterly and annual basis. x. Coordinates the activities of the ward and Sub County Licensing Officers in the County. xi. Spearheads the implementation of the County and National Trade policy. xii. Promotion of existing investments and potential investment opportunities

Job Qualifications
i. Be a holder of Bachelor Degree either in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Entrepreneurship or related field from a recognized University in Kenya; ii. A Masters Degree will be an added advantage; iii. Be a holder of CPA (K); iv. Must have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than ten (10) years in a related area within the Public Service; and v. Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
