The successful candidate will be charged with the following responsibilities.
• Engage potential PAYGO customers to obtain necessary information for credit evaluation.
• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and relevant data to assess creditworthiness, repayment capacity, and risk levels.
• Guide customers professionally through credit application processes, explaining terms, conditions, and addressing inquiries.
• Implement effective credit evaluation strategies to identify and mitigate potential credit risks.
• Review customer accounts for credit policy compliance and recommend credit limits.
• Maintain accurate credit records and compliant documentation and prepare detailed credit reports presented to the PAYGO Business Manager.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of credit assessments and customer interactions, ensuring complete compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with sales and finance for smooth customer onboarding and credit approvals and verify customer information with field officers as needed.
• Contribute to team meetings for improving credit policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to credit management, and stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Credit Officer, Analyst, or similar role.
• Familiarity with the water and energy solutions sector is advantageous.
Critical competencies:
• Strong understanding of credit assessment, financial analysis, and proficiency in related tools and software.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and handling confidential information with integrity.
• Customer-oriented with a strong commitment to excellent service and effective time management
