Deliverable 3.1. Contribute to the development of the SAFER Nepal implementation roadmap and structure.
Expected deadline for submission: follow up mission report by 30 My 2023; roadmap phase 1 report by 30 July 2023; roadmap interim report by 30 November 2023.
Deliverable 3.2. Contribute to the implementation of the SAFER Uganda roadmap.
Expected deadline for submission: roadmap interim report by 30 July 2023; roadmap final report by 30 November 2023.
Deliverable 3.3. Contribute to the development of a pool of potential SAFER partner countries.
Expected deadline for submission: report identifying countries by 30 April 2023; progress report by 30 November 2023.
Deliverable 3.4. Contribute to the planning, running and reporting of workshops and seminars to facilitate sharing of national, regional, and global experiences and knowledge in alcohol policy advocacy.
Expected deadline for submission: 4 workshop reports by 30 November 2023.
Qualifications, experience, skills and languages.
Educational Qualifications:
Essential:
⢠First university degree in public health, political sciences, law, economics, public administration or another related field.
Desirable:
⢠Advanced university degree in public health, political sciences, law, economics, public administration or another related field.
⢠Studies in global health, international relations and/or on alcohol or tobacco control policy and implementation.
Experience
Essential:
⢠Over 5 years of experience in the field of global health, development of technical guidance documents, trainings, reports and/or publications, particularly on alcohol and/or tobacco control policy and implementation
⢠Demonstrated experience in management and implementation of global health projects/programmes and cross-country initiatives, particularly on alcohol and/or tobacco control.
Desirable:
⢠Demonstrated experience facilitating multi-stakeholder partnerships.
⢠Previous experience working with the UN system or WHO.
⢠Skills/Knowledge:
⢠Strong understanding of stakeholders in alcohol and/or tobacco control.
⢠Strong technical expertise in alcohol and/or tobacco control law and policy.
⢠Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including capacity to clearly present complex technical information.
⢠Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
⢠Ability to work independently, produce high quality outputs.
⢠Demonstrated flexibility to excel in a multi-cultural environment.
Languages required:
Essential
⢠Expert knowledge of English.
Desirable
⢠Intermediate knowledge of French or another WHO Official Language.
Location
Off-site: Home based.
Travel
The consultant is expected to travel.
