JOB DETAILS:
REF: TUR/CPSB/050/2022/2023; ASSISTANT DIRECTOR WATER SERVICES, JOB GROUP “P” POSITION: ONE (1).

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:
• Have served for at least (5) years in the water sector or related field, three (3) of which should have been in the grade of Superintending Geologist ( Water) or Senior Superintendent Water, Job Group ‘M’ or above or in a comparable position in the Public ‘Service;
• Have a Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following disciplines: Water Resources, Geology, Water Engineering, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized university;
• Be registered by the Engineers Registration Board or Geologists Registration Board of Kenya; and
• Have demonstrated professional competence and administrative ability in Water Resources services.
• Those with diploma in the above fields and have experience of ten years and above and have served in Job Group “M” for a period of three years may also apply.

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
• Supervising water resources activities in the County;
• Budgeting, planning, implementation, evaluating and assessing the progress of various hydrological, geophysical, geotechnical, borehole drilling, water quality and ground water development projects in the County;
• Preparing and negotiating project plans that require external funding.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Director Water Services and the Deputy Director Water Services
