Salary Scale KShs 25,470 × 1,110 – 26,580 × 1,120 – 27,700 × 1,150 – 28,850 × 1.170 – 30.020 × 1250 – 31,270 × 1,300 – 32,570 × 1,380 – 33,950 p.m.
House Allowance As applicable in Nairobi County

a) Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -
i. Driving vehicles and detecting common mechanical faults
ii. Carrying out minor repairs
iii. Maintaining work tickets for vehicles assigned iv. Ensuring safety of the vehicle on and off the road
v. Ensuring safety of passengers and goods
vi. Maintaining cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.

b) Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
i. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade D+ plain or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
ii. Valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for any of the classes of vehicles which the officer is required to drive;
iii. First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from a recognized institution;
iv. Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police;
v. Minimum period of four (4) years active driving experience; and
vi. Adequate knowledge of the Highway Code.
