About the role:
You will play an instrumental role in supporting the Head of People to support Recruitment, Onboarding, Offboarding, HR Ops & Admin, and Events Coordination where needed. This position offers a career path, filled with growth and development opportunities.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition:
• Support the Head of People in managing the candidate life cycle for Kenya roles & applicants, ensuring a good candidate experience throughout the process.
• Support in developing and managing recruitment materials, such as job descriptions.
• Support talent acquisition projects as required.

New Hire Admin:
• Own and execute onboarding and off-boarding of junior to middle new employees via coordinating mandatory training.

HR Ops & Team Admin Support:
• Own and manage HR operational aspects such as people-related reporting and administration of benefits..
• Act as a culture champion alongside the Head of People.
• Maintain custody of updated and accurate in-country employee and general HR records in a confidential and secure manner, in full compliance with statutory requirements and regulations.
• Support the Head of People around immigration admin.
• Support the Head of People as required and provide general administrative support to the HR team.

Culture:
• Support the Head of People with organizing team events, renovating office space, and reception duties.

Our Ideal Candidate would have:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a human resources generalist, executive assistant or operations associate.
• Experience in a diverse and inclusive work environment, and the ability to adapt to change and contribute innovative ideas.

Knowledge and specific experience:
• Working in HR in Kenya
• Supported recruitment processes and has experience in talent acquisition and onboarding
• Worked with an HRIS and Applicant Tracking System before
• Start-up experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel and Word), Google Workspace (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.)

Skills:
• Teamwork skills with the ability to work autonomously
• Strong execution and process management with impeccable attention to detail
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• High level of integrity and discretion
• Highly empathetic, able to build strong relationships with staff
• Ability to work comfortably and communicate effectively in a multinational, culturally diverse, and virtual environment
• Ambitious, quick to learn new skills, and likes to multitask
• Growth mindset, excited to learn, and not scared of asking questions
• Ability to manage competing, high-priority demands in a fast-paced environment
• A self-starter who can both manage resources and roll up sleeves to execute projects from start to finish
• Proactive, who can notice when something could be improved/isn't right, and then raise that as a concern/act on it
