About the role
We are looking for a Graphic Designer who will report to the Communication Manager and work closely with other team members to design and produce creative, engaging, and informative multimedia content to be used in different digital platforms. The job includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. You will be the one to shape the visual aspects of websites, reports, posters, magazines, product packaging, corporate branding and more. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we would like to meet you.
Job description
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
• Create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media.
• Come up with a style guide for the organisation and different clients
• Read, interpret and design reports for the organisation using the latest styles.
• Develop infographs for different concepts and projects.
• Develop campaign posters for different programmes.
• Develop reporting and presentation templates for projects.
• Work with copywriters, team members and creative director to produce final design.
• Test graphics across various media.
• Amend designs after feedback.
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
• Assist in social media campaigns.
• Any other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
The Incumbent must be very knowledgeable in all the design programs
• Illustrator
• Photoshop
• InDesign will be an added advantage
• CorelDraw
• Other design software
• Website design skills – WordPress and Joomla
Minimum Requirements
• In-depth training and experience in graphic design, digital design, animation, or a related field.
• Adobe Creative Suite and other design software experience (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop).
• Proven graphic designing experience.
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and meet strict deadlines.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A keen eye for aesthetics and visually appealing content.
• Ability to take initiative.
• Ability to employ good judgment.
• Degree or diploma in graphic design, fine arts or related field
• At least two years’ experience in web and graphics design
