JOB DETAILS:

The specific duties will be to oversee service delivery in the following areas, among others.
• Responsible for disinfection, preparation, cleanliness and maintenance of the operating theatre before and after surgery and assists in bringing patient to the operating theatre.
• Maintains cleanliness in the operating room and ensures adequacy of provisions before a surgery
• Clean and disinfect surgical instruments and equipment after surgery.
• Maintains and keeps all surgical tools sterile and orderly.
• Prepare surgical instrument and equipment for autoclaving/sterilization per protocol
• Assists in bringing the patient to the operating theatre.
• Takes care of any specimens obtained for testing following surgical procedures/protocol.
• Assist surgeon during the procedure.
• Attends to the needs of the patient while inside the operating theatre.

Qualifications.
• Diploma/Cert in Theatre technology
• Minimum 1 year's experience as a Theatre Technician.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and keen on detail

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: Postgraduate Degree
