Job Description

These services are primarily offered through our Service Delivery Units: Digital (that offers: Data Centre Services, Cloud, Managed Services, Connectivity, Broadband, Carrier-to-Carrier traffic, and Backbone Infrastructure); Consumer (that offers: Data, Voice, VAS, and Content) and Digital Financial Services (through our platform T-kash).
Job Summary
The job holder will be required to implement and drive the sales strategy and action plans for the sales and distribution of Telkom product and services to resellers, distributors, agents & merchants within the assigned sales region. The role is expected to deliver sales targets and revenue margins across the customer network within the assigned region
Responsibilities
1. Effectively manage the budget of the sales team within the region and ensure sales are done cost effectively and Contribute to the cost savings target of the business
2. Forecast and achieve sales targets for the relevant market segments within the region
3. Monitor and measure the profitability levels of customers within the region
4. Build and maintain relationships with key customers, SMEs, corporate clients and facilitate the continuous growth of the customer base within the region
5. Determine required solution for the customer with a focus on cross- and up selling of products and services
6. Ensure the accuracy of the first bill as per the signed agreement
7. Ensure the effective management of the customer account and timeous problem solving
8. Analyze business and market information to inform sales decisions and to educate the sales team within the region
9. Conduct analysis of customer, partners and sales metrics, costs and categories to inform business decisions
10. Ensure the delivery of expected sales delivery and performance of the sales team within the region
11. Communicate changes in processes, product or services changes, promotions and launches timeously to the sales team within the region
12. Facilitate and maintain the development of communication channels on all levels to prevent breakdown in information flow
13. Plan and execute product events and animations with Product service providers for the region
14. Conduct training needs analysis for sales team and the customers as well as support the implementation of training interventions (brand promotion, product knowledge, negotiation skills etc.)
