Rama HomesLimited is a fully registered dynamic real estate company actively involved in the identification and development of property. We conduct feasibility analysis to determine the viability of each specific project and negotiate the acquisition of profitable projects on behalf of our clients/partners.
Our organization is seeking to recruit a Tax Specialist.
Responsible for providing support to the business at the group level, the role holder will be responsible for ensuring that all subsidiaries are compliance with all tax matters while strategically offering tax advise that will guide best business decisions. .

Job Responsibilities
• Ensuring tax compliance for the subsidiaries – filing the tax returns by the due date and paying the taxes by the due date
• Implement new tax requirements in the subsidiaries, ensure proper accounting and mapping of the taxes
• Calculation of the corporate tax and deferred tax on a monthly/quarterly basis
• Reconciliation of the tax GLs
• Tax assurance on all lines subject to tax to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Reviewing tax exposure points on an ongoing basis through regular compliance checks for the subsidiaries
• Facilitate smooth flow of all tax audits conducted by the revenue authority as well as the external auditors/consultants
• Create tax awareness across the subsidiaries
• Improving the tax payment process by ensuring all taxes are accounted and paid on time; and
• Maintain legislative materials by reviewing, interpreting and implementing new or revised tax laws


Key Competencies and skill
• Knowledge of tax accounting and tax laws in Kenya
• Good Knowledge of general accounting principle and practices
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Great customer focus skills and attention to details
• Ability to work with diverse teams and to adapt to fast changing environment
• Team player with good interpersonal and self-management and organization skills
• Demonstrated ability to resolve tax disputes


Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar or related role
• CPA III Finalist/ACCA qualifications will be an added advantage
• Experience in tax or a tax experience in an audit firms will be an added advantage
• Good Knowledge of filling tax returns and experience liaising with tax authorities
