JOB DETAILS:
Tailor
Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Position Summary:
The Tailor will be responsible for daily tailoring duties as instructed by the Administration Manager while adhering to SGA Kenya Limited policies and procedures. Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of sewing equipment and all areas under his/her control.

Roles:
• Stitching new uniforms as per SGA Kenya Limited specifications
• Ensure that all uniforms are in good repairable condition before issuing them to staff
• Measure, make or alter uniforms for new employees
• Take care of basic alterations as requested by management
• Ensure the sewing supplies are always replenished when exhausted
• Repair and maintain uniforms for all SGA Kenya Limited employees in a timely fashion
• Convert discarded worn out uniforms into usable uniforms for re-circulation
• Organize and take inventory of all fabric
• Assume duties and tasks as assigned by Supervisor
• Keep a detailed record of the daily work
• Keep the tailoring area clean and tidy

Education Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Arts in Design or a Diploma in Design

Experience:
• Candidate must be qualified and trained with professional tailoring skills and must have previous experience of not less than 5 years in a similar position, preferable in a labour intensive industry.
• Good command of English
• Previous work experience in EPZ Factory is an added advantage
