JOB DETAILS:
Call For Subject Matter Experts And Resource Persons
The National Construction Authority (NCA) is established under the National Construction Authority Act No. 41 of 2011 with a broad mandate to oversee the construction industry and coordinate its development. Section 5(a). (c), (f). Ig) and (jl of the NCA Act empowers the Authority to offer consultancy and advisory services into any matter relating to the construction industry, carry out quality assurance and investigations, train contractors, skilled construction workers and site supervisors, execute business development ventures for the benefit of the Authority and coordinate and undertake research related to the construction industry. In line with execution of this mandate the Authority intends to engage resource persons from time-to-time to provide expertise, skills or knowledge for the performance of specific tasks or pieces of work, which would be short-term in nature. The National Construction Authority is therefore establishing a register of subject matter resource persons who will provide technical expertise to programmes and projects in the Authority, as and when required on the following key areas:

Development, Peer Reviewing. Publishing and Dissemination of Construction Research Programs
Content Development and Training of Contractors, Skilled Construction Workers and Site
Supervisors Preparation, Publishing and dissemination of Technical advisory and Quality Audit reports for the construction industry
The Authority is looking for highly motivated specialists/experts to support the Authority's programmes and projects as individual subject matter experts/resource persons. Interested corporate and individual specialists/experts must have the following core competencies:
a. Subject Matter Expertise as listed in Table 1 above) b. Communication and Presentation Skills c. Interpersonal Skills d. Planning and Organization Skills e. Data Analytics and Management f. Report Writing, Editing and Proofreading g. International Development & Facilitation h. Academic & Applied Research 1. ICT for Trade and Construction

Key Qualifications And Experience
a. Must possess at least a Diploma Certificate in a relevant field
b. Must have at least five (5) years' postgraduate experience in their field of specialization
c. Must have current industry practicing license/certification
d. A Master's Degree and/or Doctorate Degree will be an added advantage
e. An affiliation to a professional body will be an added advantage
f. Applicants must exhibit high levels of integrity

TERMS OF SERVICE
The engagement will be project/programme based upon being shortlisted to the subject matter experts/resource persons register. Subsequent re-engagement will be subject to satisfactory performance and delivery of set targets and expected outcomes.
