Statistical Assistants

Key Responsibilities

  • Attending all the training sessions whenever called upon to enable acquisition of skills required for data collection;
  • Locating sampled/targeted households/facilities/business enterprises with the assistance of the Supervisor to collect the required information;
  • Conducting interviews to the respondents and completing the questionnaire(s);
  • Interviewing and capturing interview responses using a computer-aided personal interview (CAPI);
  • Uploading data from all completed questionnaires to the KNBS dedicated Server;
  • Assisting the Supervisor in conducting focused group discussions/key informant interviews;
  • Undertaking callbacks/re-visits to undertake/finalize postponed interviews;
  • Maintaining confidentiality of the interviews and the data collected;
  • Preparing debriefing notes for the Supervisor;
  • Undertaking any other duties lawfully assigned by the Supervisor.

Minimum requirements

  • Must be a Kenyan citizen with a National Identity card ;
  • Should have completed at least secondary level of education, with a minimum grade of C or its equivalent;
  • Should possess good communication skills;
  • Should be a team player.
