About the job:
The Startup Community Manager role is a critical part of our Antler East Africa team. There are four components to the role:
1. Be the single-point-of-contact for key stakeholders that form part of the core Antler Startup Community
2. Own the end-to-end operations and logistics of the venture building & acceleration track programs. This includes owning the Community calendar, organizing key components of the program (e.g. Masterclasses, team building activities, pitching sessions, IC, etc. ), and managing different stakeholders (i.e. internal Antler team, founders, VPs & VCs in the Antler network)
3. Collaborate with the rest of the Antler team to coach startups as they form teams, ideate and problem solve becoming their strategic advisor as they prepare to pitch to Antler East Africa Investment Committee
4. Support in organizing key social events in the community (e.g. External Speakers series, monthly ecosystem gatherings, etc.)

Skills requirements:
1. Fast-learner, who can understand how Antler and its model operates quickly and is ready to take up a role with significant responsibilities from Day 1
2. A highly social individual with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for people and creating connections
3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage different deliverables simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to interact with stakeholders at different levels
5. Self-starter who is flexible and can thrive in a small and agile team environment
6. Bachelor’s degree at a minimum, minimum 4 years of work experience in relevant roles (e.g. VC, consulting, other business roles)
7. Previous experience in VC or at a venture builder/startup incubator or accelerator a plus
