About Our Client.
The company is revolutionising energy access for clean cooking in Africa. The company is a subsidiary of a company, which is organised as a holding company in the UK, with operational units in Kenya, Tanzania and product development and manufacturing in Hong Kong and China. They provide a reliable and low-cost supply of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) fuel for clean cooking to low-income households by using innovative smart metering and advanced distribution logistics.

About The Role.
Mobile and Web applications that support staff and customers in East Africa. Assist software developers to deliver excellent mobile and web applications by conducting thorough testing of applications before release and assist in diagnosing and fixing bugs. Reports to the Software Team Lead.

Responsibilities
• Write test cases and testing Scenarios.
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
• Create and maintain test data in testing environments.
• Assist in implementing automated test tools.
• Perform API’s Testing against requirement.
• Evaluate product against specifications.
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
• Report bugs and errors and track in JIRA.
• Help diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct user surveys.
• Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
• Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.

Skill Sets & Qualifications
• At least 2 years of software development industry.
• Experience with Android phones and Java
• Good understanding of the Agile development process
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a distributed team
• Basic understanding of Information Security
• Critical thinking.
• Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
• Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs such as Postman, Blazemeter, Jmeter, Appium, AWS.
• Enthusiasm to continually improve skills and learn new technologies
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili
• Female engineers are specially encouraged to apply
• Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer sciene or equivalent
• Professional qualification in testing is an added advantage
