About the role
We are looking for an on-site social media manager to join our dynamic team. Your role will involve working cross-functionally to ensure our social media communication and interaction are well-rounded.
As a social media manager, you'll manage Weza Care’s online presence by developing a strategy, producing good content, analysing usage data, facilitating community engagement and managing projects and campaigns.
Reporting to the Media and Communications Manager, you will ensure all social media communication is aligned and effectively meets Weza Care’s communications objectives.

Job Description
• Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
• Experience working with analytics to determine audience trends and future planning
• Design and implement creative social media strategies to align with business and communications goals
• Develop, launch and manage digital campaigns that promote Weza Care’s brand
• Develop digital campaigns across platforms, including executing SEO and SEM paid social, digital video, native ads, and more.
• Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content across our social media platforms(Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Youtube).
• Understand audiences and drive an audience-first approach to content creation
• Previous professional copywriting experience for digital channels
• Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
• Collate monthly; quarterly social media analytics reports to track performance.
• Collaborate with other teams, like delivery, engineering and customer service, to ensure content brand consistency
• Work within the communications team to ensure any social media content is aligned to the brand.
• Communicate with followers, respond to queries promptly and monitor follower engagement
• Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
• Suggest and implement new features to increase brand awareness, like promotions and partner engagements
• Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
• Writing across different platforms for our various audiences, e.g. partner success stories, LinkedIn articles.
• Collaborate with curriculum writer to ensure copy is SEO friendly and meets copywriting standards
• Any other assigned duties

Requirements for the role include;

• 3+ years work experience at a digital or marketing agency (or else in-house experience at a fast-growing startup, media outlet, prominent brand or NGO)
• Strong copywriting skills, research and communication skills; from knowing how to write a successful tweet to use effective storytelling techniques
• Strong analytical skills and their application, especially in data analysis at high speed
• Have a good and demonstrated understanding, experience and use of social media management tools
• Ability to develop and maintain community engagement
• Strong communication and people skills for articulating ideas to colleagues and clients
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects
• Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas
• Work experience with clients in multiple subject verticals
• Experience working on agency teams with proactive complex marketing campaigns
• Deep knowledge of paid digital platforms like Google Ads, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to act as primary digital strategist internally and at client meetings
• Basic photography skills
