JOB DETAILS:
ICT Africa is a consulting firm specializing in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP),IT Hardware & Networking solutions, Business Analytics and Dashboards as well as other ICT requirements for mid-to-large sized companies across the region. ICT Africa helps firms to evaluate and select software, manage the implementation and facilitate related organizational changes to ensure that each of our clients realize the full business benefits of their ERP implementation. We also offer IT strategy and expert witness services.
Reporting to the Enterprise Solutions Lead the principal responsibilities will entail maintaining, monitoring and supporting systems in a multilocation environment, development and operations of secure and highly available global computing platforms, performance and support of the infrastructure, design and build the systems operating environment to meet business requirements. He /she will also be responsible for monitoring and optimizing the performance of operating systems and applications such as web, Windows, Linux, VMware, Active directory ,DNS and DHCP. The successful candidate will also work with other technical staff and vendors to provide IT services to all customers and provide operations support 24 hours per day to ensure ICT consumers are maximizing utilization of various technologies at their disposal for productive outcomes and to ensure organizational policies with regards to ICT are enforced and monitored.

Major Responsibilities:
Project Planning
• Leads or consults short- and long-term project planning efforts with team members, clients and other IT groups.
• Develops cost/time estimates.
• Documents discussion and agreements.
Design/develop /Maintenance
• Integrates solutions with other applications and platforms outside the framework.
• Performs routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patch management and hot fixes.
• Develops strategies to manage the frequency of appropriate support package/patch application.
• Monitors health of systems and provides appropriate recommendations, when required.
Administration
• Coordinates and validates activities.
• Manages user access to, systems, servers, and files.
• Administers the setup of new profiles, creates and updates access permissions and maintains user accounts.
• Installs, configures and maintains system hardware and software components.
• Maintains tracking and configuration documentation and plans.
• Supervising the installation of system upgrades and service packs.
• Determines if inactive accounts should be deleted.
• Administers Storage Area Network (SAN).
• Coordinates and validates activities.
• Manages user access to, systems, servers, and files.

• Works with IT Security, where needed, in investigations and/or audits of systems.
• Analyzes audit trails to detect systematic security violations.
• Reports security issues when appropriate.
• Ensures security requirements are adhered to.
Regulation and compliance
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and standards.
Coaching /Mentoring
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and standards.

Required Education and professional qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline from a recognized institution.
• ITIL certification will be mandatory for this role
• Azure Fundamentals
• CCNA certifications (CCNP Preferred)
• MSCA certifications (MCSE Preferred)
• NSE 4 (Fortinet)
• Vmware and Veeam certifications will be an added advantage for this role
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
