JOB DETAILS:
Senior Software Engineer

The purpose of the role is:
• Prepare and/or review detailed specifications for new and existing applications
• Maintain existing applications with modifications per user requirements
• Develop and test new application code
• Provide user training
• Generate help documentation
• Research and implement new technologies
• Utilize all department standards for development, source control, and documentation
• Design and program new applications utilizing specifications from SDLC
• Break down conceptual tasks or problems into logical, quantifiable pieces
• To coach and direct less senior developers during the construction phase; when necessary, authoring needed code that will satisfy the more complex or sensitive business requirements
• To provide expertise in troubleshooting production problems, when requested, and ensuring that a proper resolution is identified and implemented in a timely manner in response to any issues/problems

• Open communication and collaboration on design & development within the Product Delivery team
• Learn & understand the Global In-House/Agile systems and the development guidelines & standards

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO OFFER?
• Bachelor degree Computer Science or equivalent
• Desirable Supply chain and Transport Management applications
• At least 7 years’ experience in IS
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development
• Strong skills in C#, ASP.NET, Application development with SQL Server 2017/2019, Experience with an Agile SDLC lifecycle
• SQL Server 2017/2019 Application Development with experience in TSQL
• Multi-tier application development
• Working in a robust software development environment including:
• Analysing solution quotations
• Creating designs from the solution quotations
• Ability to recognize issues with proposed solutions
• Excellent and strong communication, social and negotiating skills.
• Analytical and flexible
• Fluently English, orally, and written, and other European language is plus
• Comfortable with working under pressure and willing to travel
• Provide assistance to less senior staff members as necessary.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and prioritize work.
• Desire to move towards a system or product architecture role.
