Are you passionate about fighting climate change and injustice, but you can see that traditional campaigning isn’t delivering the scale of transformation required? Do you have strong policy and research skills, and want to apply them as part of an innovative team that’s breaking new ground? If so then we’d love you to join our growing team.
The Global Advocacy Team at Tearfund has a vision to tackle the three defining issues of our time – ending extreme poverty, safeguarding the environment and tackling inequality. Our team walks alongside grassroots movements around the globe campaigning on issues like climate change, plastic waste and green jobs. We support people to drive change, nurture their leadership, and join them up with our research, media and campaigning work at national and global levels.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic senior member of staff to join our policy and research team in this new and exciting role.

We’re looking for someone who is:
• an excellent team player
• good at working flexibly and in partnership with others
• able to lead new and expanding areas of work
• experienced in policy, research and influencing, particularly in the area of climate change and poverty.
You’ll build relationships with grassroots groups, networks and allies to strengthen social movements across Africa. You will provide policy expertise and lobbying to help drive forward policy and behaviour change on environmental and economic sustainability issues. You will be working alongside a passionate and ambitious team, and will love to pray for change, believing that God can and does do amazing things.
We’d love applications from people who are:
• passionate about fighting climate change, poverty and injustice as an integral part of your faith
• comfortable managing research projects
• confident at influencing and inspiring others and holding senior relationships externally.
All applicants must be committed to Tearfund’s Christian beliefs
