JOB DETAILS:
Senior Finance Manager / Head of Finance

At TopUp Mama, finance is not only an enabler of the business and a control & strategy function, but also a core part of our customer proposition. Your goal is to run a smooth daily finance operation that manages cash flow & budgets to enable the growth of the business, puts controls in place to guarantee proper use of funds, reports to key stakeholders to enable them to make the right decisions, and runs the credit department to build out our proposition to customers.

Key responsibilities are:
• Create budgets across all departments and implement processes to enforce strict adherence to these
• Take ownership of all financial reporting to the leadership team and the board
• Set up the credit department (incl. The credit proposition, processes and team) and ensure targets are met in terms of Portfolio at Risk
• Continuously monitor cashflow and manage our working capital loans & partners
• Successfully lead the the first audit of the company
• Review procurement processes and supplier contracts, to improve the cash flow
• Take full ownership of monitoring legal & compliance issues and reporting to the leadership team, incl. monitoring supplier contracts
• Constantly look for ways to improve the financial position of the company, incl. being involved with strategic decision-making

Who you are
We are looking for someone who is very hands on in terms of finance and gets into the nitty-gritty of the financial operations. At the same time, you are the key person that the leadership team depends on to make strategic decision. We are looking for someone who has:
• Strong financial operations background, and the ability to set up air-tight financial processes
• Ability to make tactical decisions about finance, incl. Risks to the company, sources of financing, intra-company finances, etc.
• Extensive experience in tightly managing working capital
• Excellent leadership skills, especially working across departments
• Strong commercial mindset, with the ability & curiosity to identify financial opportunities for the company
• Ability to make board-level financial reports and have an understanding of which metrics are key to track to make strategic decisions
• Experience setting up and running a credit department is preferred

We believe that an excellent Senior Finance Manager can come from many industries and organisational backgrounds, and no set years of experience are required for a talented person to fill this role. However, preference will be given to the following:
• Senior financial controller / manager or head of finance in a post-Series A startup
• A mid-management role in financial consulting or audit, preferably from a Big-4 company
• A mid- to senior financial manager at a fintech dealing with credit or other financial products
• A senior finance role at a mid-sized business, working directly with the CEO
• A mid-level finance role at a corporate, as long as there is experience across all financial departments
