Requirements
For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: -
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution;
• Registered as an Engineer by Engineers Board of Kenya or any other recognized professional body;
• A Senior Management Course or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Proficiency in computer application skills;
• Demonstrated professional competence in work performance and results; and
• Met the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinating Designing and installation of mechanical equipment;
• Ensuring maintenance machines and plants;
• Assisting drafters in development of structural designs;
• Overseeing installation operation and repairs to ensure that machines are functioning to specifications;
• Ensuring safety of machines;
• Coordinating preparation of specifications for mechanical materials and equipment; and
• Ensuring compliance with the regulations and guidelines for mechanical works.

Experience in Months: 60
