JOB DETAILS:
Job Description & Summary
• The Office of General Counsel (OGC) advises partners and staff on legal matters arising in the internal and external business of PwC. We are looking for a lawyer with at least 5 years of experience to join the Office of General Counsel Contracting Team in the Africa East Market Region. The role of this team is to negotiate and provide legal advice and support to the business when contracting with clients, external parties and service providers. When clients want to engage PwC for the performance of services in multiple territories across the PwC network, our Contracting team assists with responding to our clients’ (and our own) contracting needs, making it easier to do business with the firm.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, revising, negotiating and advising on requests for proposals, non-standard client agreements for the Assurance, Advisory and Tax Lines of Service, master services agreements, engagement letters, subcontracts, nondisclosure agreements and other types of agreements consistent with the firm’s risk management standards while also considering applicable legal, regulatory and professional standards, often on a time sensitive basis.
• The successful candidate hired for the position must operate with a pragmatic mindset and be solution oriented with substantial experience in contract negotiation. The successful candidate will be expected to form a good understanding of the business, its operations and services. The successful candidate will also be expected to form good working relationships with engagement teams.
• As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Minimum years experience required
• 5 years of experience with at least three years of prior experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
