Senior Alignment and Validation Officer

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:
For appointment to this position one must have the following;
1. Four (4) years relevant work experience;
2. Bachelor’s degree (KNQF Level 7 or equivalent) in Education, Economics, Architecture, Engineering, Statistics, Social Sciences, Science or related field from a recognized university in Kenya;
3. Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks;
4. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution;
5. Proficiency in computer applications.

Responsibilities:
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Conducting assessment and evaluating applications for alignment and validation of foreign qualifications;
2. Conducting assessment and evaluating applications for validation of prior learning;
3. Monitoring, evaluating, reporting and initiate reviewing regulations, policies, guidelines and tools on alignment and validation of qualifications;
4. Facilitating the recruitment and facilitation for the training of alignment and validation peer reviewers;
5. Liaising with education regulatory bodies, curriculum developers, qualifications
6. awarding bodies and other government ministries and agencies on alignment and validation of qualifications;
7. Guiding, advising and appraising officers under their supervision;
