JOB DETAILS:
Jamii Sacco is a Deposit Taking Sacco (DTS) registered under the Cooperative Societies Act Cap 490 (Amended 2004) of the laws of Kenya and licensed by SASRA.
The objectives for which the Society was established are to organize and promote the quality of life of the members by providing quality financial services.

Vacant Position Details

The following position is vacant and the Sacco would like to fill:

Position: Sales Representative
Grade -
Department: Marketing
Job Type: Contract – One (1) Year renewable on performance
Location: Nairobi

REF. JSS/HR- SM– A1/2022

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Principal Officer, Sales & Marketing, the job holder is responsible for spearheading the society’s marketing activities and leading the marketing team in achieving its objectives.

Functions / Key Results Expected

The Job holder is responsible for:
a) Marketing the Sacco’s products and services.
b) Recruitment of at least 25 members in a month.
c) Actively seeking new sales opportunities through calling and emailing potential members across the country.
d) To prepare presentations for prospective customers
e) Following up on any potential members.
f) Sourcing and working on customer referrals.
g) Training members and Sacco officials on how to access and use digital platforms.
h) Maintaining Professional and technical knowledge of our products and services.
i) Researching and documenting on new market trends and needs.
j) Handling any issues raised by members and stakeholders.
k) Identifying potential business opportunities and sharing the available products with them.
l) Establishing and maintaining relationships with potential stakeholders.
m) Organizing training activities in liaison with Marketing Team
n) Developing and implementing marketing campaigns and strategies for the Sacco growth.
o) Write reports and provide feedback to the management on the progress of marketing activities.
p) Establishing sales techniques based on interactions and results as found in the field.
q) Collecting competitor information and analyzing the current trends in the market for review of business positioning
r) Monitoring various marketing strategies and issuing reports on the same in order to grow the numbers and product patronage.
s) To work with minimum supervision and contribute to the overall success of the Marketing Department.
t) Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Impact Of Results
 Overall attainment of the SACCO objectives by retaining and recruiting new members.

Qualifications & Requirements
 Diploma in Sales & Marketing.
 Minimum two (2) years experience in Sacco sales.
 Strong client relationship management skills
 Have a desire to make a significant contribution to a rapidly growing the Sacco
 Market research experience
 Good Network connections
 Proven ability to work independently
 Ability to meet monthly targets
 Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques.
 Fast learner and passion for sales.

Other Requirements Compliance To Chapter Six Of The Kenyan Constitution:
 Police clearance certificate (Certificate of Good Conduct)
 Tax compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
 Clearance certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
 Clearance certificate from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
