JOB DETAILS:
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in risk management and compliance planning
• Review the adequacy and effectiveness of risk mitigation measures within the Companies functions and identify opportunities for improvement
• Discuss risk assessments and compliance review findings with the process owners and agree on the recommendations for improvement
• Conducting detailed risk and compliance reviews in accordance with approved risk and compliance programs
• Participate in the development and review of organizational policies and procedures
• Facilitate identification of business improvement opportunities and optimization of resources
• Prepare preliminary written risk assessment or compliance review report for each review
• Ensure compliance within the department

Key Performance Indicators:
• Report writing – Issuing timely accurate and relevant compliance reports
• Up to date Policies & Processes
• Outstanding compliance on risk matters
• Internal Client management
• 100 % Attendance to compliance training

Education & Experience:
• Academic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field (Accounting,
• Actuarial Science, Finance and Management).
• Professional Qualifications
• In any of these (CISI/CIFA/CFA/CPA/ACCA) – Added advantage
• Risk Certifications – added advantage
• Specialist Knowledge (Indicate the additional specialist
• skills the job requires in addition to qualifications)
• AMLCFT Training
Minimum work Experience
2 years of experience in risk & compliance in a financial institution
Functional Competencies:
• Understanding of relevant financial regulations and legislation, risk management frameworks and risk
Reporting.
• Financial and accounting knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Behavioural Competencies
• Ethical and principled
• Analytical and diligent
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to work under pressure and minimum supervision
• Ability to work long hours
