Retail Operations Assistant Manager
Position Description

mPharma is looking for a dynamic individual with exceptionally high work standards to join our Retail team as Retail Operations Assistant Manager. He/She will serve as the primary voice for developing customer relationships that promote retention and loyalty of Haltons Limited in support of mPharma’s mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities. This role will work closely with Haltons team members and its partners to ensure they are satisfied with the services they receive and to improve upon areas of dissatisfaction. This position reports to the Retail Manager, Haltons.

Drive The Business Growth Agenda
• Input into Planning & Budgeting: Key player in the setting of Annual Sales Plan & Long Term Sales Strategy;
• Delivering Regional Sales Metrics: Sales by Branch/Category (Kes), Margins (%), Store Profit, Product Mix;
• Drive Operational Excellence: Stocks Management, Merchandising compliance, Periodic Audits, Expenditure Mgt;
• Continuous Improvement: Systematic Regional Reviews, Analyzing Variances & Initiating Corrective Actions;
• Propel Growth Initiatives at the Regional Level: Run & Manage Promotions & Activations, New Markets, And New Partners.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT which entails:
• Setting up of the Right Team (s): Recruitment, Selection, Orientation, Induction, & Probation Management;
• Delivering through the team: Define Job (JDs), Set Targets, Monitoring, Recognizing, Rewarding;
• Continuous Development: Training, Coaching, Counseling, Disciplining, Appraisals, Reviews, Improvement Plans;
• Governance Champion at Regional Level: Enforcing Company Policies & Procedures, Compliance to Co. Standards.
HE/SHE IS THE KNOWLEDGE RESERVOIR FOR THE REGION:
• Source of Information: Contributing Regional Info into Strategic Plans & Reviews;
• Market Intelligence: Identifying regional trends in the Health Space, Competitors, Trade and Shoppers;
• New Product Development: By identifying new product opportunities, and/or packaging, price & service changes.
CUSTODIAN FOR THE HALTONS BUSINESS & BRAND NAME AT THE REGIONAL LEVEL:
• Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining rapport with key customers;
• PR & Networking: Represent the company at the relevant Health/Pharma for a in the region;
• Oversee Haltons Brand Developing Propositions in Region e.g. Medical Camps, Store Opening;
• Ensure Compliance to the Haltons Point of Purchase Vision at each of the branches in Region;
• Change Management Champion: Be the lead person at the Regional level for all organizational-led changes & initiatives.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Experience in the health domain either working with multinational pharmaceutical companies, clinician settings, or other healthcare services
• Ability to provide fact-based advice and development of market and industry analysis.
• Excellent communication, presentation and budgeting skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills to network with new people and develop business relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Team player with both external and internal stakeholders (Customers, Department heads, Government, Store staff, Suppliers, Contractors and Marketing, etc. )
• Ability to successfully develop, lead and motivate store teams
• positive attitude, is entrepreneurial, ambitious & result focused and has strong communication skills, coupled with sharp analytical ability

Qualifications
• BS/MS degree in business administration/ Pharmacy or a related field
• Successful track record as a sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Excels in analysing data and can tell the story behind the data
• Retail, FMCG experience of > 5 years
• Strong decision-making abilities
