Job Purpose
Reporting to the Head of International Wealth Management – Africa Desk, the Relationship Manager will be tasked with acquiring, developing and managing the wealth management business across the African market. The individual will also be mandated with sale of global markets, asset management products and bank services to the wealthy individual clients in the assigned market so as to increase and diversify the Bank’s international business revenues. .

Job Responsibilities:
• Acquire, establish and manage relationships with all target clients in the assigned market to meet set targets.
• Prepare and submit clients’ accounts and sales’ plans.
• Initiate business /cross selling opportunities by identifying clients’ needs so as to properly position the bank against its competitors.
• Work in partnership with global markets on; structuring, pitching, negotiation and bidding for deals.
• Prepare and apply for limits to the Chief Risk Officer to obtain the required credit limits (Lombard limits) to conduct business.
• Prepare, review and submit all the required compliance reports.
• Closely follow-up client’s investment strategy and investment portfolio performance
• Monitor and observe compliance with the banks operational risk, policies and procedures in line with policies for sanctions and anti-money laundering.

Job Qualifications:
• Degree in Business Administration or related field.
• At least five (5) years’ experience in relationship management, managing wealthy/High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) covering several African countries.
• Proven track record of expertise in client acquisition and account management of wealth individual clients.
• Strong knowledge of IWM and global market products including cash management, trade finance, treasury and lending/syndications.
• Strong comprehension of foreign exchange, equity, fixed income and commodities markets.
• Knowledge of investment products
• Good understanding of the African market.
• Strong analytical skills with good knowledge of international markets, macroeconomics and credit analysis.
• Good skills in building relationships, negotiation, follow through and problem solving.
