JOB DETAILS:

Main Duties
1. Attend to antenatal mothers, review reports and conduct safe deliveries
2. Undertaking clinical procedures and examinations
3. Carrying out ward rounds with Senior Consultants
4. Consulting on cases that the Senior House Officers may require guidance
5. Oversee the running of the department
6. Assist management in drawing up and implementation of policies and procedures for the department
7. Advising and guiding management on procurement of equipment and supplies for the department
8. Coaching and mentoring of Senior House Officers
9. Supervision of Senior House Officers and Elective Students
10. Ensure that Hospital policies and administrative regulations are well known and understood by staff
11. Liase with HR & Talent Development to ensure proper staffing levels at all times
12. Conduct CPD activities to ensure high standards of competency and efficiency in the department at all times
13. Ensures that patients are given utmost attention and care at all times
14. Make follow up on complaints and any concerns raised by patients
15. Conduct surgeries, elective or emergencies

Required Qualifications for the Position
1. Bachelors of medicine & Surgery
2. Masters of Medicine in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (MMED)
3. Registered with KMPDC
4. ECOG, EmONC, ALSO
