Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic team player that has passion for our work, company, and clients. This position will be working closely with a small team, to help with the day-to-day management of up to 6 County Coordinators on our Agripreneur Program. The ideal team member must have a farming and/or business background with knowledge of the other and experience in mentoring and managing a field team . They should have good communication skills, both written and verbal, English & Swahili, great interpersonal skills with the ability to form and maintain relationships at multiple levels with an outstanding attitude, sincere personality, and passion for work.

Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for line management of County Coordinators in the region including performance KPI setting, monitoring, regular 1-1’s, identification of training needs to support the team’s development.
• Identify, develop, grow and maintain a network of service providers at a regional level. Identify, engage & facilitate linkages between county coordinators, rural agripreneurs, farmers and input companies, service providers, offtakers and other partners.
• Identify & select potential rural agripreneurs who will be involved in service provision such as aggregation of inputs, mechanization services, produce sale, and extension services to smallholder farmers.
• Proactively engage with the programme team to provide updates on the program progress and jointly resolve challenges to facilitate achievement of work plans & KPIs. 5. Mentor & Monitor County Coordinators engagement and implementation with Agripreneurs and service providers, compile periodic reports, and attend regular staff meetings.
• Conduct training/ engagement sessions to the Agripreneurs, Farmers or other stakeholders as required
• Work with County Coordinators, Local Government, Community Leaders, Agripreneurs and communities to support in building and strengthening a more productive environment for them to do business in by providing skills trainings and support.
• Work closely with Kuza management team in particular, as well as wider Kuza Team in identifying and delivering on areas of continuous improvement in work- flows, process gaps, roles and responsibilities growth, to help deliver efficiencies.
• Recognize and report interesting stories and publicise the programme within the region.
• Adhere to Organization’s policies and procedures at all times especially with regard to safeguarding the interests of the Clients, Organization, and stakeholders

Essential Requirements
• Digital literacy
• Access to transport
• Degree in any agriculture, business-related field, or project management 4. Past Experience working in the agriculture sector/ commercial or farmer training/extension experience
• Experience in designing and/or implementing value chain development interventions in the food sector
• Past Business & Community Engagement Experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to gain trust and build relationships 8. Management / Mentorship / Training experience
• Ability to use good judgment when making decisions and to take accountability for decisions made.
• Good organisation skills

Preferred Requirements

Past experience of working with NARIGP/ KCSAP Program of Ministry of Agriculture.
