Nourishingafrica.com – a 'Home for 1 Million Agri-Food Entrepreneurs Transforming Africa’s Agricultural Landscape, is a digital platform focused on agri-food entrepreneurs who are transforming the African agriculture and food landscapes. The platform is a one-stop-hub for these entrepreneurs, leveraging innovative channels to provide critical links to data, funding, knowledge, access to regional markets, e-learning, African food and chefs, career opportunities, and other resources to help them to scale their businesses. The mission of Nourishing Africa is to "attract, empower, equip, connect and celebrate over 1 Million dynamic and innovative young entrepreneurs who will drive the profitable and sustainable growth of the African agriculture and food landscapes". As such, this hub serves as a platform for these stakeholders to accelerate their work, connect with each other, and celebrate their successes on the continent.
Nourishing Africa is seeking to employ a Regional Coordinator in Kenya to join its team of young, dynamic professionals working to transform the agri-food industry in Africa. .

Job Description
In this role, you will be required to fulfill the following primary responsibilities working as a key member of the Nourishing Africa team:
• Serve as the primary contact person for your designated geographic region
• Drive recruitment and engagement of Nourishing Africa hub members in their region
• Promote Nourishing Africa locally and regionally, widely amplifying the organization name and communicating Nourishing Africa activities to potential members, partners and other stakeholders
• Proactively seek out local and regional partnership opportunities for Nourishing Africa
• Set up physical or virtual meetings with potential partners in the region
• Support the production of region-specific communication materials such as articles, op-eds and newsletters in English and in local languages where applicable
• Provide region-specific industry updates, insights, feedback and recommendations
• Identify local business opportunities and challenges and determine key regional resources to aid operations and business growth
• Recommend appropriate strategies for the implementation of Nourishing Africa programs, initiatives and events in their region
• Coordinate local and regional convenings, workshops and meetings as required
• Represent Nourishing Africa at appropriate meetings and events
• Prepare and submit weekly, quarterly and annual reports on country and regional engagements to the Management
• Participate in all assigned administrative and supervisory functions and in staff and team meetings, training and staff development activities as scheduled
Countries Covered: Nourishing Africa priority countries in East Africa including Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda and other countries in the region as the need arises

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, committed to excellence, with a passion for the agriculture sector. Below are key qualifications that we require:
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business, Social Sciences, Agriculture or other related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience working with a reputable firm in a related role in the agriculture sector
• Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
• Excellent programme planning and management skills
• Excellent oral, written, and public communication skills
• Excellent networking ability and access to networks of stakeholders in the agriculture sector within the region
• Ability to work independently, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-cultural team
• Demonstrable research skills
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
• Excellent problem solving, planning and organizing skills
• Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines
• Willingness to participate in field activities/surveys and travel to remote areas within the region
• Proficient in MS office suite
• Willing and able to travel
• Fluency in French is an advantage
