JOB DETAILS:
Yetu Sacco Society Limited is a deposit-taking SACCO licensed under the Societies Act. Over the years, it Yetu Sacco has established itself as leading institution playing a central and supportive role in the social and economic development of our country through the provision of the competitively priced financial products. .

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The incumbents shall be responsible for managing non-performing loan to preserve capital. The officers should understand the borrower's problems, Identify and resolve problems with unpaid loans. The role reports to the Credit Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Submission of all loan reports including recoveries of all loan categories including loan classification movements
b) Ensure prompt recovery of all loans under the assigned portfolio as well as ensuring all legal processes are followed in line with the recovery and sale of Assets
c) Ensure smooth Liaison with service providers Le Lawyers, debt collectors & Auctioneers as per their SLAs to facilitate execution of their mandates.
d) Analyzing bad debts based on aging and take appropriate actions to collect all arrears from defaulting members.
e) Aggressively follow up on defaulted loans and undertake field visits where necessary for recovery activities. Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports of allocated portfolio indicating the portfolio at risk.
f) Constantly monitoring performance of the assigned loan portfolio to ensure prompt payment of the loans;
g) Analyzing loan under payment reports and reminding members to make prompt payments of loans on due dates;

1) Recovering all loans in arrears and timely reporting of variations of members' deposits and/or loan repayments.
j] Issuing demand notices to guarantors of defaulted loans through the branch credit team. 1 Attaching guarantors on defaulted loans.
k) Liaising with Branch Credit Committee in enhancing the PAR to below 5%

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
a) Holders of bachelor's degree in Cooperative Management or Commerce or its equivalent from a recognized university
b) Experience in Credit Operations or debt collection in the financial industry for at least 2 years
c) Have a high level of integrity
d) Excellent negotiation and communication
e) Experience in working with targets and strict
f) Good planning, analytical and monitoring
g) Proficiency in computer

Job Education Requirements: bachelor's degree in Cooperative Management or Commerce
Job Experience Requirements: 2 years
