JOB DETAILS:

Main Duties
1. Responsible for preparing the room and equipment for patient examinations
2. Taking x-rays/performing radiological examinations as prescribed by a medical practitioner
3. Assisting the radiologist perform special examinations e.g. barium meals
4. Processing x-ray images, documentation and dispatching
5. Ensures that examinations are carried out in consistency with the procedure protocols, patient conditions, physical abilities and age requirements
6. Maintaining a radiological register of patients
7. Maintaining the consumables register
8. Participate in the planning and execution of the department CME
9. Provide image intensifier services when required
10. Provide radiographic services in Cath-lab
11. Mentors junior Radiographer

Required Qualifications for the Position
1. Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or BSc Radiography
2. Two (2) years working experience in similar position
3. Registered and licensed by the Kenya Nuclear Radiological Authority(KNRA)
4. Registered, up to date member of the Society of Radiography Kenya (SORK)
5. Special skills in mammography, CT and Cath lab will be an added advantage
6. Up to date registered membership with SORK
