Quality Manager
As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible to ensure that the affiliate Quality Management System (QMS) is in accordance with internal and external requirements in and across Middle Africa as well as leadership and people management of the QA Function in Middle Africa. Also, you will be responsible for document control and distribution responsible for the maintenance of the matrix list, providing necessary daily support to the end users, and communicating necessary changes to relevant internal stakeholders, review and comment on global standard operating procedure drafts and local record and document responsible for Middle Africa. In addition, you will responsible for surveillance of external and internal quality intelligence in Middle Africa and being Ownership of QA strategic projects including vendor management.
• Providing input to the Global Audit Risk assessment tool to prepare the annual external audit plan. Act as Lead Auditor and liaison for local internal and external audits and finalizing and maintaining of the Middle Africa audit program including follow-up and closure of internal audit findings for Middle Africa.
• Training and quality competency development across the Middle Africa Affiliate and performing induction training to Middle Africa newcomers on Novo Nordisk Quality Management System and heighten awareness of Quality within the affiliate.
• One point of contact on quality issues and contact for change control and deviation processes in Middle Africa. Inform and keep updated the local management on quality issues. Review and approve major changes in quality agreements with distributors.
• Support development of Lead Auditors within Middle Africa and management of actual or potential recall situations in Middle Africa in collaboration with Head MRQ and Affiliate GM.
• Overall responsible for oversight and monitoring of temperature data and product release for Novo Nordisk Middle Africa products and keeping distributors accountable in accordance with their contractual obligations of the Quality Agreements.
Qualifications
You have a relevant academic degree or a master’s degree from a reputable university, preferably in Pharmacy/Biochemistry/Biology/Microbiology/Engineering. You have a relevant experience of a minimum of 5 years in a similar role preferably in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. You have excellent command over both written and spoken English and have a relevant business background. Having proven experience in audits and inspections is advantageous. In addition, to be effective in this role, it is necessary to have:
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities and effective time management skills, making things happen, innovating in a changing environment, and stakeholder management
• Strong Quality and Compliance mindset
• A deep understanding of Quality intelligence, and the ability to implement and maintain local QMS.
• Proven success in strong leadership and interpersonal skills and a structured and transparent way of working
• Excellent ability to provide recommendations despite uncertainty and pressure, strong problem-solving skills, and able to handle and simplify complexity
