JOB DETAILS:
Python and PHP Developer
Masterclass Solutions Limited is seeking to hire a Python developer who will also double as a PHP developer to join our engineering team to develop dynamic software applications. These applications include custom eCommerce and integration using Woocommerce, Data exchange APIs with shipstation, Custom WordPress Plugin Development and Customization and custom web application development following the agile methodologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate as a representative of IT on cross-functional teams where projects and/or assignments affect multiple entities.
• Maintaining existing Python, PHP, and JavaScript codebases, including troubleshooting bugs ensure low-latency and high-availability and developing new features
• Research, analyze, and design robust IT solutions which meet the company’s operational and reporting needs.
• Document programs, processes, and requirements of developed programs/applications.
• Provide system support to end users and troubleshoot reported bugs and fix them.
• Develop system applications specific to our clients’ requirements/needs.
• Integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Implementing security and data protection while accommodating various data storage solutions.
• Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation
• Work collaboratively with design team to understand end user requirements to provide technical solutions and for the implementation of new software features

Full Stack PHP / Python Developer Qualifications and Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ prior experience in developing solutions using Python, PHP, and MySQL technologies
• Detailed knowledge of object oriented programming concepts and application design and the ability to apply them to Python or PHP projects
• Good knowledge Django, Flask or similar Python frameworks
• Familiarity with front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience working with MVC web frameworks (Django and Laravel preferred)
• Experience with version control systems (GIT preferred)
• Experience using Jira software in project management (added advantage)
• Knowledge of SQL and relational database design and optimization (MySQL and PostgreSQL is a must have)
• Expertise in the application of ORM in software development
• Expertise in using Linux / Unix command line including deploying solutions to cloud environments (AWS cloud understanding is required)
• Familiarity with various software testing tools (Automated testing experience preferred)
• Immediate availability
