1. The Kenya Meat Commission invites sealed tenders from underwriters (Insurance Firms) the provision of General Insurance Cover for a period of one year, renewable subject to performance and terms.

2. Tendering will be conducted under open tendering method using a standardized tender document. Tenderers will be allowed to tender for one or more items.

3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents during office hours between 0800hrs and 1700hrs from the date of advert at the address given below. 4. Tender documents may be viewed and/or downloaded from the website www.kenyameat.co.ke or www.tenders.go.ke

5. A complete set of tender documents may be viewed and obtained by interested tenderers free of charge through the Commission’s website in no. 4 above. Tenderers who download the tender document with an intent for participation MUST forward their particulars to procurement@kenyameat.co.ke  and make a follow-up telephone call via 020 2499382 to confirm receipt of email for facilitation of any further clarification or addendum.

6. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of Kes. 100, 000.00 in format provided by a reputable bank or IRA registered Insurance valid for 150 days from the date of tender closure.

7. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.

8. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before Friday January 20, 2023 at 1100hrs. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.

9. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any deadline date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers' designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.

10. Late tenders will be rejected.
