About the Job
One of our SPVs is developing a mixed used development in Meru County, Kenya. The Property Marketing Coordinator’s responsibilities will rotate around Managing and letting the shopping mall which is scheduled for completion within Q1 of 2022.
The Role
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the candidate will conduct overall project coordination which shall include but not be limited to those listed below.
Roles and responsibilities of the Successful Candidate:
• Marketing the mall/implementation of marketing strategies for the mall.
• Creating and reviewing project marketing budgets.
• Liaison with potential tenants, negotiation of Head of Terms, and letting term sheets.
• Maintenance of letting spreadsheets and tenant mix schedules.
• Updating project financial model.
• Liaison with selling agents and monitoring and evaluation of their performance.
• Setting and reviewing targets for the sales agents.
• Preparation and management of project marketing materials including PowerPoint presentations, brochures, newspaper ads, articles, billboard ads, etc.
• Liaison with project legal team on preparation and signing of leases.
• Negotiating with legal advisors and monitoring their performance (turnaround time).
• Organizing meetings with Key stakeholders/stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinating project-related activities e.g., opening ceremonies.
• Managing Director’s calendar for project-related meetings.
• Maintenance of project general data e.g., number of employees, tenants, potential employees on operationalization.
• Coordination of site visits for potential tenants, agents, and Directors.
• Attendance of site visits to monitor progress.
• Shortlisting and recruitment of the building property manager.
The successful candidate should have:
• Preferably a graduate of any degree or a diploma with two years’ experience in real estate and property management.
• A sense of commitment and time management skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Highly disciplined, competent, reliable, and respectful individual.
• Financial modeling and expertise in excel will be an added advantage
• Flexibility to travel frequently to the site in Meru County.
