  African Pro-Poor Tourism Development Centre (APTDC) is a Non-Governmental Organization registered under the NGO Coordination Act of Kenya. The organization contributes to community social economic development by responding to community needs in Health, Environmental Conservation, Sustainable Rural Development and Women Empowerment. The organization also seeks to promote the utilization of tourism as a strategic tool to alleviate poverty through Pro- Poor Tourism Development interventions. Our core mandate is to ensure community Health is Improved, Livelihood is improved, Environmental Ecosystems are conserved to promote human life, women are included in our Social and Economic Development and tourism benefits local communities.
Job Summary: African Pro-Poor Tourism Development Centre is a Sub Recipient of the Global Fund New Funding Model HIV Grant to Kenya through Kenya Red Cross Society and seeks to recruit qualified candidates to fill the positions of: Project Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountability Officer - (PMEA).

Key Roles and Responsibility
Under the supervision of Projects Manager and overall guidance of Director, you will be responsible for:
• Reporting to Programs Manager
• Participate in the planning and implementation of key project activities.
• Take control measures to achieve project objectives and targets.
• Custodian of the project M&E database.
• Prepare primary data collection tools and share them to Field Officers for collection of required data.
• Ensure data quality through data quality assurance and cleaning exercise by observing data quality dimensions such as completeness, reliability, consistency, timeliness.
• Receive and analyze reports from Field officers, data clerk and provide timely feedback.
• Conduct monitoring and evaluation support visits to project implementation sites. Participate in Monitoring and Evaluation visits to program implementation sites-homes/health facilities.
• Evaluate project progress based on objectives and expected impact/results.
• Documentation of project best practice procedures, outcomes, impact and success stories.
• Prepare monthly, Quarterly and annual report for the project.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned to you by the Project Manager..

  Qualifications Requirements
• At least 1-year experience relevant to working as an M&E Officer
• A bachelor Degree or Diploma holder in Monitoring and Evaluation, Project management Statistics or social studies or a related course.
• Public Health, Community Health, Clinician, Nursing will be an added advantage.
• Have proficiency in Computer application skills. Excel, Word and Power Point competency is a MUST.
• Personal attributes (self-driven, excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills, analytical skills and team player)
