JOB DETAILS:
The African Academy of Sciences (AAS) is looking for a Programme Officer for the Future Leaders
- African Independent Researchers (FLAIR), a postdoctoral programme seeking to provide the opportunity to build an independent research career in sub-Saharan African institutions and to undertake cutting
- edge scientific research that will address global challenges facing developing countries.

POSITION: PROGRAMME OFFICER

The Role: The Programme Officer will be responsible for providing operational and research support in the implementation and delivery of the programme as well as working in close collaboration with other AAS programmes.

Qualifications: A Master’s Degree within the remit of natural sciences, a professional qualification in programme management and at least three years‘ working experience.

The AAS is a pan African organization headquartered in Kenya with a tripartite mandate of pursuing excellence by recognizing scholars and achievers; providing advisory and think tank functions for shaping the continent’s strategies and policies; and implementing key science, technology and innovation programmes.
