Program Coordinator
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
• Responsible for overseeing, Implementation and coordination of DADOKI Program activities in relation to the program commitments.
• Plans, organizes, and coordinates the overall operational activities of the DADOKI program
• Ensures that Peace Building activities are implemented in accordance with the AFSC values and testimonies.
• Responsible for supporting partner concept/proposal development, budgeting, and budget monitoring to guarantee value for money.
• Responsible for conducting regular meetings with implementing partner staff to follow up on program implementation including revision of targets against achievement, identification of gaps to define needed adjustments in implementation.
• Working with partner staff to development reporting templates, ensure quality and timeliness of reports.
• Continuously Accompany partners in project implementation, provide timely support and mentorship.
• Responsible for program feasibility through collating, packaging, and publishing human interest stories on AFSC websites and other social media platforms.
• Identify consultancy needs, develop relevant TOR’s and participate in identification relevant program consultants.
• Responsible for identifying fundraising opportunities, developing DEP concepts, program concepts and proposals for increasing the program funding base.
• Experience in project coordination, relationship building, and remote partnership
• Articulate AFSC’s values and principles including its commitment to peace and nonviolent approaches to social justice and peacebuilding at external meetings and when required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field such as Peace studies, conflict transformation, peacebuilding, international affairs/relations, project management, social work, sociology, humanitarian affairs or other fields relevant to AFSC’s work on peace, social justice, and humanitarian assistance.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant work.
• Knowledge/experience in Program/Project cycle management, organizational development, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Knowledge/experience in Grant management and exposure to multiple donor agencies.
• Knowledge/experience in the work of local and international NGOs or civil society organizations.
