JOB DETAILS:

Key Duties & Responsibilities
The below list of responsibilities is not exhaustive; other tasks may be required to adapt to operational needs. To achieve the overall and specific position’s objectives the Procurement and logistical Assistant will perform the following tasks and undertake the following responsibilities:

• Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
• Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
• Develop supply contracts, building contracts, and service contracts on need basis
• Ensure that the products and supplies are in the right quantity and quality.
• Perform Periodic Market analysis reviews to ensure the organizations enjoy the best value for money.
• Maintain and update a list of suppliers.
• Work with team members and Logistics and procurement Officer to complete duties as needed.
• Develop and monitor purchasing policies.
• Monitor inventory control procedures.
• Produce and share procurement reports as scheduled.

Any other tasks given by line manager.
Person Specification – Essential Requirements
Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain management.

Experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a procurement officer or related position.
• Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
• Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Accurate and precise attention to detail
• Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
• Goal-oriented, organized team player

Skills
• Excellent writing ability and verbal skills
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

Qualities
• Good understanding of and compatibility with the values of JRS.
• Commitment to JRS’s mission, vision, and values; the ability to convey with enthusiasm JRS’s role in accompanying and serving forcibly displaced people and to advocate for their right to protection and a life in dignity.
• High integrity, honesty, and confidentiality; ability to deal tactfully and discreetly with people, situations, and information.
• Acceptance of diversity and inclusion as a core value;
