JOB DETAILS:

REA Vipingo Plantations Limited is the leading sisal producer in East Africa and operates large scale estates in Kenya and Tanzania. The Company is constructing a 1.75 MW biomass energy generating plant at its Dwa Estate at Kibwezi, Makueni County and wishes to employ a number of staff. Applications from suitably qualified Kenyan citizens to fill the following positions are invited. .

Job Responsibilities: • The Power Plant Manager will be overall responsible for the management and operation of the 1.75 MW biomass power generating plant. The plant will be fed with biomass produced entirely on the estate which is one of the largest sisal estates in East Africa. The estate is entirely self sufficient with extensive engineering and other support facilities. The plant will be supplying energy for internal use and shall additionally be selling power to Kenya Power & Lighting Company Limited.

Job Qualifications: • Applicants should have at least five years' experience of working with boilers and/or in an electricity generation plant and must have management experience, a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and be registered with a relevant professional or government body.
