Plant Manager
About the role
They are seeking to expand their Diverse East African Team by adding a Plant Manager to provide leadership to our Pharmaceutical Plant at the EPZ, Kenya. This is a vital role that will be reporting to the Managing Director, Kenya.
Key roles:
• Overall leadership at the Kenya Manufacturing facility.
• Cost and investment planning for the manufacturing facility.
• Optimize the plant performance through,efficient processes to maximize production output,reduction of production costs while maintaining high quality standards.
• Create and manage budgets
• Ensure compliance with national & international pharmaceutical production regulations
• Drive the automation of data collection ,analysis and storage
• Inform the Management on potential production risks with out delays
• Oversee all levels of staff recruitment, shift patterns and general staff performance
• Ensure ethics and integrity through compliance and risk mananagent
• Promote company Operation Excellence( OpEX) and support and foster operatonal excellence across all functions including continous improvement and lean Management.
• Evalaute head of departments and develop departmental targets
• Perform facility routine safety checks and promote health and safety within the plant
• Direct and coordinate daily operations of the plant
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times
The ideal Candidate:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering/ Pharmaceutical Sciences /related Engineering courses as well as professional certifications and/ or Master degree will be an added advantage.
• Lean management, Process validation, Team leadership, Mentorship, Financial Management, Analytical thinking & trouble shooting, Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Proven experience (at least 7 years) working in a similar role in plant operations of sterile Pharmaceuticals/ FMCGs/ Chemicals.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with English fluency.
• Demonstrate leadership, management and technical capabilities
