About the role
• Our team is looking for an individual who, with the support of leadership, will lead our partnerships,business development and fundraising efforts for Mideva Labs and Idea Studio Africa. You are passionate about design, innovation, entrepreneurship and talent development.
• You bring with you some prior experience working in the innovation ecosystem and in building partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You are capable of leading and collaborating with diverse team members, fostering relationships and are excited about applying creative approaches to your work.

What you will be doing
• You'll work with and support the team in our effort to scale our work and impact through partnership building, business development and fundraising. You will understand the context of our work and vision, develop insights, define and explore opportunities, design and implement strategies, communicate the vision, and ultimately help us achieve growth and impact through the work that we do.

In this role, you will be reporting to the leadership
Once here, from time to time and depending on the priority, you will:
• Work collaboratively with the leadership to build and maintain a pipeline of partners across our portfolio work for Mideva and Idea Studio Africa.
• Developing and implementing creative strategies for partnerships, business development and fundraising.
• Design, develop, and manage proposals and presentations (briefs, concepts, case studies, business prototypes) for relevant opportunities.
• Work with the team to develop and implement relevant revenue models and strategic partnerships
• Identify trends and partner needs, building short, medium & long-term opportunities pipelines based on the strategy
• Community design, building and engagement
• Manage external communications and relationships with organizations, companies, and interested parties/individuals
• Planning and executing events and experiences related to business development and partnerships
• Mapping out and taking an active role in opportunities, including events, convenings, and workshops that are beneficial to our portfolio
• Build relationships and collaborations with our partners and stakeholders.

What you bring
• You have 3 to 6 years of business development, partnerships, sales, and fundraising experience
• Leadership experience (leading and supporting teams, especially on a tight timeline)
• Project management, presentation, communication and storytelling skills and abilities
• Experience working in the learning and development, entrepreneurship and innovation space
• Experience putting together winning proposals, concept notes, and pitch decks
• Comfortable working with digital tools and working in a collaborative environment
• Business consulting savvy, with an ability to think and lead strategically and make strategic decisions
• Research, Writing and Storytelling with Data
• Eagerness to learn, share and grow your experience and impact
• Nice to have: Human-Centered Design and Strategy experience
