JOB DETAILS:

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
2. Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
3. Apply varnish and other finishes
4. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
5. Performs a variety of routine and preventive maintenance painting duties.
6. Correct work as directed; repair and other small imperfections in the finishes
7. Apply protective coatings to items such as equipment and miscellaneous metalwork.
8. Clean up work of equipment, supplies, and materials.
9. Performs any other related duties as may be allocated from time to time.

Requirements and skill
1. Over one year of experience as a painter
2. Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
3. Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them.
4. Conscientious with great attention to detail
5. Ability to read and understand technical documents.
6. Ability to perform heavy manual labor
7. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
8. A technical diploma or equivalent; a technical degree is a plus
